Spain passes new
transgender law: The lower house of the Spanish Parliament approved a measure
allowing individuals over the age of 16 to change their legally recorded gender
without the need for medical supervision. According to the law, drafted by the center-left
coalition government, minors between the ages of 14 and 16 must be accompanied
by their parents or legal guardians and those between the ages of 12 and 13
will require a judge’s permission to make the move.
The law also
abolishes a restriction that banned lesbian couples from registering their
children under both parents’ names and forbids the use of so-called conversion
therapies to repress sexual orientation or gender identity.
Up until recently,
transgender individuals required the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, a
psychological disorder in which the patient does not feel that their biological
sex matches their gender identity.
They occasionally
also required paperwork proving they had taken hormones or evidence that they
had lived for two years as the gender they identified with.
The bill, according
to transgender rights organisations, is a “before and after” for LGBT rights.
The concept of
biological sex is threatened by gender self-determination, according to certain
feminism campaigners.

Voting for
Transgender Law in Spain
Dozens of transgender
rights advocates gathered in front of the building to watch the debate on their
phones as the voting session was scheduled to take place in Parliament.
The bill will change
many of the members of the Euforia Trans Family Alliance organization’s daily
life, according to vice president Saida Garca.
The far-left Unidas
Podemos (United We Can), the minor party in the ruling coalition, sponsored the
law, which was the subject of a protracted 18-month legislative debate.
Opposition to the Transgender Law in Spain
Right-wing opposition
groups vehemently opposed it, and it also caused some friction with Prime
Minister Pedro Sanchez’s Socialist party.
Ring-wing attempted
to submit an amendment that would have required court supervision for those
under 16 who wanted to change their recorded gender.
Only those who are
younger than 13 will ultimately be subject to this restriction.
Irene Montero, a
member of United We Can and the Minister for Equality, expressed her pride in
Congress for stating that “trans rights are human rights.”
The Scottish
parliament is currently discussing a similar bill providing gender
self-determination as the Spanish Congress votes on it. Similar laws have
previously been passed in over a dozen other nations.

Difference in Happy and Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas 2022:
The 25 Dec is here, and we are all looking forward to it. Merry Christmas 2022
decorations are already up everywhere we can see them.
Key Points
Merry Christmas 2022:
The 25th of December is quickly approaching, and we are all looking forward to
it. Christmas decorations are already up in companies, schools, and public
places, and many have started shopping gifts for their loved ones. Since the
word “Merry” has begun to circulate, we’ve been considering why it’s used in
place of “happy” when wishing someone well.
Merry Christmas 2022: History and Origin
In 336 AD, during the
reign of Constantine, the first Christian Roman Emperor, Christmas was
celebrated for the first time on December 25th. After a few years, Pope Julius
I formally declared that December 25 would be a day of celebration for the
birth of Jesus.
There are many
different customs and explanations for why Christmas is celebrated on December
25. A very old Christian tradition held that the Annunciation, or the moment
Mary learned she would give birth to Jesus, was on March 25. As a result,
people still celebrated that day on March 25. The 25th of March is now the 25th
of December, nine months later. Even the date of Jesus’ death as a grown man,
March 25, had been conjured up by a select few early Christians around the world.
The Winter Solstice
and the early pagan Roman midwinter festivals known as “Saturnalia” and “Dies
Natalis Solis Invicti” both fell in December close to December 25, suggesting
that this date may have even been chosen. As a result, it was a time when
people were previously celebrating events.
The Asheira sect’s
adherents and members of its branch were chosen by the Church providing
sanctions to “Christmas Trees,” just as Christians had previously introduced
Roman pagans by tying Christmas to the Saturnalia. Pagans had long worshipped
trees in the forest or grown them in their homes and adorned them, and the
Church was aware of this ceremony and rejoiced in it while putting on a
Christian front.
In Riga, Latvia, in
1510, the first Christmas tree was set up or kept. Apples, gingerbread, wafers,
and sweets were used to decorate the first Christmas tree in Germany. Different
kinds of trees are used as Christmas trees in many nations, and they are never
fir trees.
The “Pohutakawa”
tree, which has red blossoms, is used in New Zealand. Germany was where the
first artificial Christmas trees were created in the 19th century. PVC is used
today to make artificial Christmas trees, even in China. Amazingly, real
Christmas trees can help clear the air of pollen and dust.
Merry Christmas 2022 Wishes and Message
I send you my best
wishes for a prosperous future filled with joy and love. Merry Christmas!
May the joys of the
holiday season abound in your house and heart. Merry Christmas, everyone!
May the Christmas
spirit and tranquillity surround you all year long. A season of blessings is
sent your way. Merry Christmas!
May all your worries
disappear and your heart be filled with warmth and wonder. Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas 2022 used more than Merry Christmas 2022
The term “happy” is
often thought to have a higher socioeconomic level connotation than the word
“merry,” which was frequently associated with the raucousness of the lower
classes. Since then, “Happy Christmas” has become the royal family’s go-to
greeting, and it is now widely used throughout Britain. According to linguists,
the term “merry” better captures the holiday atmosphere than the word “happy.”
